MGH Clothing Collection

Dear Emmanuel,

Once again I am reaching out to you to ask for your help in collecting clothing for the homeless population that frequents the Emergency Department at Mass General Hospital.  Emergency Rooms are a place where people with no permanent address often turn for all kinds of healthcare needs.  MGH has made a special effort to provide quality care for this vulnerable population even building a permanent clinic on Thursdays where they can receive treatment for non urgent health issues.  As many of you have heard from me over the years people often come to the ED poorly clothed for life on the streets.  The staff at MGH is very grateful to have clean warm clothing to put on their patients in need before they send them back out into the streets.  This is a terrific opportunity for us to live out God's desire that we care for the poor among us and to make His name famous. I am so thankful that when we do it for the "least of these" we do it for Jesus! I am thankful for all of your help and prayers. May our great God bless you as you seek out ways to shine His light.

MGH is asking for: men's sweatpants and new underwear

I will leave a collection box near the coat rack for the next three Sundays.
